Founded in 1991, and run by husband and wife team Andrew and Poppy Silcock, Millbrook Kitchens has been part of the Rangiora community for over 25 years With unrivalled expertise, dedicated designers and a focus on quality - it's no surprise that they continue to be a top choice when it comes to new kitchens. A recent upgrade to their showroom means potential customers can now see the wonderful standard of their joinery work and hardware. With show kitchens, a laundry and wardrobes, customers can get a feel for what is possible and how certain elements and finishes will look and feel This spacious showroom is a great place for customers to get inspired and check out an impressive range of styles, finishes, clever joinery and colour, There's even a fabulous and funky bright orange kitchen. All Millbrook kitchens are 'bespoke' so clients can mix and match different elements depending on budgets and taste As a starting point, we suggest clients think about what they love about their existing kitchen and items or functionality they really don't like and do not want to see in their new design" says Poppy. She also advises that they consider their appliances as these are key in the design of a kitchen.

A double door fridge for example Takes up more space than a single door, so this needs to be incorporated into the design. Likewise if you have your heart set on a 900mm freestanding oven, a canopy or freestanding rangehood, then you need to tell your kitchen designer so this can be worked into your design. It's also important to consider how your kitchen works for you. For example, if you are tall, you may prefer dish drawers side by side, rather than bending down to fill a dishwasher. On the other hand, if you are shorter, you may prefer not to have your cupboards go to the ceiling but instead, incorporate a bulkhead or negative detail. It is this attention to detail that our experienced designers can offer. When it comes to finishes the team can help you get the look you want, without blowing your budget. Granite, Engineered Stone and Acrylic for example, are very popular materials for benchtops. However, there are a variety of options in laminates to give you the look of stone at a lower price point.
Millbrook can work to all budgets and offer a lage range of finishes and hardware, but there is one area in which they never compromise-their kitchens are about long-lasting quality and value for money. Several years ago Millbrook became a Mastercraft Kitchens Licensee. This means they stay abreast of new trends and products through regular networking with the Mastercraft Group and access to supplier training. Andrew said he has always used quality Blum hardware from Austria as it never fails and has a 20 year warranty. Last year they even visited the factories in Austria where these are made and were very impressed
Millbrook also use state of the art technology to ensure a quality moisture resistant finish on cabinetry. You can see this demonstrated in their showroomm where they have immersed a piece of melamine in a fish tank. Last check it had been in there for over two months without any moisture getting into the MDFI And, for customer peace of mind all Millbrook Kitchens come with the Mastercraft Kitchens 10-year warranty on workmanship To find out more about Millbrook Kitchens visit their website at www.millbrookkitchens.co.nz and www.mastercraft.co.nz, visit their showroom on 25 Southbrook Road Rangiora or telephone 03 313 5764
